Dead, dying, hazardous, or just in the wrong spot; I take trees down safely, including tight-access yards and jobs that need rigging.
Not every tree can be saved, and not every tree should be. I remove trees that are dead, structurally compromised, diseased beyond recovery, growing too close to a foundation or power line, or simply no longer fit the plans for a property. Every removal starts with an on-site assessment so you know exactly why a tree is coming down and what the job will involve.
In open yards, most trees come down in sections with directional felling cuts. In tight side-yards, near fences, sheds, or power lines, I work the tree in smaller pieces, rigging and lowering limbs and trunk sections with rope systems so nothing drops uncontrolled. If a job is large or tight enough to need a crane, I'll tell you up front.
Sacramento Valley's clay-heavy soils and hot, dry summers put real stress on mature trees; root systems that struggle in compacted clay are more prone to instability, and heat-stressed limbs are a common cause of the sudden limb drop I see in valley oaks and other older shade trees. If that's what's going on at your property, I'll walk you through whether removal or a health-focused trim is the better call.
Every removal quote covers felling or dismantling the tree, chipping brush, cutting the trunk into manageable rounds, and hauling all debris off-site. Stump removal is a separate line item; pair it with my stump grinding service if you want the spot fully cleared.
